SOG

Our self organised groups (SOG) are an established part of the very fabric that makes UNISON and this is reflected in our democratic structure from branch to national levels. Equality is at the heart of UNISON.... and our self organised groups are a way to help UNISON understand and the ways in which our members have experienced prejudice and discrimination, to ensure that our this work is member led and driven by grassroots organisation we have branch and regional structures for:

• Young members

• Black members

• Disabled members

• LGBT+ members

• Women members

Our aim is to organise members in these groups to give support for workers who have traditionally have not had a voice in the workplace.

Your voices are important to us and there are conferences held annually.
